Notjust presents: ‘Friday Night at the Asylum’

  • A night of musical and dramatic performances on 24th March from 7pm at
  • Asylum

24th March 2017, Doors 7pm

An eclectic night of musical and dramatic performances relating to the theme of ‘desire’: from Bob Dylan to Wagner, Shakespeare to Gershwin, and much more besides.

Friday Night at the Asylum brings together music from a range of genres – including classical, jazz and folk – as well as drama and literature, to create a rich performance in which genres overlap and are integrated into a unique artistic experience.

Performers in March will include pianists James Kreiling and Yshani Perinpanayagam, soprano Kate Symonds-Joy, singer-song writer Ned Roberts, jazz pianist David Mitchell, American singer-songwriter Robert Chaney, and actors Florence Roberts and Rebecca Collingwood.

The evening’s performances will all be linked via the theme of the night which for this event is ‘desire’, in all its guises. Our belief is that each of these genres and art forms can stand alongside one another, and can indeed complement and enhance eachother.

So, whether you like jazz, drama, classical, folk, or anything in between, come and enjoy a unique evening of performances from a selection of exceptional young performers.

Tickets, £12 on the door (doors open 7pm for 7:30pm start).
