A video/sound and physical performance live installation on the subject of divination.
THE SEER is a collaborative and multi-disciplinary installation piece created under the direction of London-based artist Conny Prantera and a carefully select group of international women artists and musicians, including Charlotte Law, Lia Mazzari, Gwendolen Osmond, Agathe Max, Rebecca La Horrox, BURL and Eliza Bennett. This piece takes inspiration from the artists response to the subject of the Seer seen through different cultures and histories, interpreted from the viewfinder of personal and modern lenses, to tell the story of a present-day visionary. Investigating the legendary story of Cassandra, THE SEER looks at the confounded language of prophesies and transforms it into a politically charged conversation about current reflections on the themes of power structures, activism and alternative societal systems.
